Concocting Culture

In 4th grade here at PEAI, we put a lot of time into studying World History. In the process, it’s inevitable to be exposed to a huge variety of cultures from all over space and time.

When we examine ourselves, we can clearly see aspects of different cultures that influence who we are. However, this identity is constantly changing. Much of it is determined by our given surroundings; however the power we have to create the culture we experience must not be forgotten.

This monthly presentation aims to give students a chance to understand how each individual can greatly impact cultural identity within each class and ultimately our society. By sharing our knowledge, interests and skills, we grow to better understand and respect one another; a phenomenon that we hope will translate into the larger world.

“Culture does not make people. People make culture.”
