CHANGEMAKING venture projects

PEAI middle school students launched a wide variety of CHANGEMAKING venture projects and made concerted effort throughout the year of 2019 to maintain and finish up the projects with one thing in mind: To prove teenagers could make a difference to social issues at hand. These are their stories!

PEAI middle school students hosted a first fund raising drive, all students desinged and operated  in May, along with Tanzania Bibilo Project.

A second phase of fund raising drive for CHANGMAKING projects was hosted once again all by students in late July and early August. I've got to hand it to you folks for your dedication and collaborative efforts in these fund raising drives!

PEAI middle school students were collecting and sorting out the books into two consignments bound for Tanzania.

These are the books received by a school in Tanzania

This is a message from the principal of the school in Tanzania.

" Well make sure to do a little ceremony acknowledging our receipt and appreciation for the books and peai."

Here's a receipt of shipping and handling costs

One of the venture projects entails easung up on the hardup lives of senior citizens with financial difficulty and they paid a visit to help them with supplies and a bit of cash at a local senior citizen center located near Seong Nam area. How proud we are of ourselves for making a diffetence to senior citizens in Korea!

Another group project involved helping the homless in Korea and they packed and took food, beverages and blankets to a  Homeless Shelter based in Seoul. They took some time out of such busy schedule , took a bus and hand-carried them to the shelter. They received suspicious welcome at first but  we were sure our selfless gesture of giving made some homeless have a warm night in blanket over food and drinks. What Good Samaritan you were!

These guys are on Stray Animal Savers. They say it would make them feel better to make a difference to onwenless or homeless animals finding a home and living a life they deserve. What humanitarian you are!

They were on the project on Saving Children in Poverty. Their partner organization was Donation to Unicef. Their little yet big at heart donation made a difference to children who needed attention and should go on with a life they deserve yet that we take for granted! Way to go Ashley and Chistina!

Dust Buster! These guys have been saving money to give out masks out in the street of the most polluted area in Seoul. What a risk taker! They hope a day will pass without worrying about the dust. Wishful thinking?

Peai middle school students are so proud of putting in consistent and collaborative effort in making a difference to those socially underprivileged or important issues that require attention. What's more meaningful , they believe  is that they as teenagers have become a social agent that make something happen. Our journey of giving a helping hand and making a difference in society will go on this year of 2020 and many more years to come because we CARE.
